Life is Good When your Family is Happy.

Life is good and its good to be a parent when you know in your heart that your child has chosen the best and the kindest to be close to no matter what she has to do.

I wish I was young again sometimes ......

I wish I was young again sometimes so I had to make a decision between a love and my love.... I know I would choose my love but I have learned that over time. I am reminded of this by these poems I remember from high school English class. Just wanted to write them down and read them again! I guess it is just an old feeling day!

When You are Old

by W. B. Yeats
When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

As You Like It, Act II, Scene VII [All the world's a stage]

by William Shakespeare
Jaques to Duke Senior
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slippered pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

Do not go gentle into that good night

by Dylan Thomas

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light

Spending Time Alone!

Whenever you are alone and don't want to be, you can always call me and I will come!

To my Wonderful Daughter!

I'm not very good at poetry but I was reading one of my books and this was what I try to say all the time. I love you Punky! Always know when the silver lining is shining through, those who love you will be there.

To My Daughter with Love on the Important things in life
Author: Susan Polis Schutz

A mother tries to provide her daughter with insight into the important things in lifein order to make her life as happy and fulfilling as possible.
A mother tries to teach her daughter to be good, always helpful to other people
to be fair,
always treating others equally
to have a positive attitude at all times
to always make things right when they are wrong
to know herself wellto know what her talents are
to set goals for herself
to not be afraid of working too hard to reach her goals.

A mother tries to teach her daughterto have many interests to pursue
to laugh and have fun every day
to appreciate the beauty of nature
to enter into friendships with good people
to honor their friendships and always be a good friend
and to particularly respect and love our elder members
to use her intelligence all times
to listen to her emotions
to adhere to her values

A mother tries to teach her daughterto not be afraid
to stick to her beliefs
to not follow the majority when the majority is wrong
to carefully plan a life for herself
to vigorously follow her chosen path
to enter into a relationship with someone worthy of herself
to love this person unconditionally with her body and mind
to share all that she has learned in her life with this person

If I have provided you with an insight into most of these thingsthen I have succeeded as a mother in what I hoped to accomplish in raising you
if many of these slipped bywhile we were all so busyI have a feeling you know them anyway
One thing I am sure of though, I have taught you to be proud of the factthat you are a woman equal to all men and that I have loved you every second of your life
I have supported you at all timesas a mother, as a person, and as a friend
I will always continue to Cherish and love everything about you
my beautiful daughter.

Waiting

OK Pumpkin! On to bigger and better things! Work on that booklet you are working on because that person appreciates you more than you realize! Also, Mother loves you too and she only send a text message when she is concerned! Not answering for over 90 minutes is not cool. Then I just wonder more!!!!! Time to go and I will be back soon. IKEA calls.

Waiting!

It is 4:30 and someone I love is waiting for a very important phone call. She is the best choice for what she is waiting for and I pray that this certain person realizes it. She will always excel in anything she does or is chosen for because she puts her heart and soul in all she does. As a Mom, I feel her pain right now and I think it is unconscionable to make someone wait like this for anything! Keep your chin up pumpkin because no matter what, you will always be the best at what you do. There is always a rainbow to follow!
